In 2005, at the age of 16, Danny Davis left his home state of Michigan to attend school in Vermont. Within a year, Davis entered the U.S. Open as an unknown 17-year-old snowboarder. After placing fifth in the halfpipe event and gaining the title of Rookie of the Year there, he had a huge 2006, winning the Nippon Open and the U.S. Grand Prix. Now, at the age of 21, Davis has had an impressive 2008/2009 season despite a broken ankle and knee injury. He took first place at last year's inaugural Winter Dew Tour stop in Breckenridge, Colorado, and then again took first at the Burton European Open in Switzerland. Davis held a coveted spot on the Olympic Snowboard Halfpipe team in 2010 and was the winner of the US Grand Prix of Snowboarding at Mammoth Mountain in 2010.
