Iikka Backstrom
Iikka Backstrom hails from Finland. Considered one of the most progressive riders on kickers and park in his early days and later taking his focus to urban riding and rails, it sounds as if he has found his true passion in snowboarding and that’s the backcountry. While his love and ability for snowboarding has him shredding in just about any terrain, it’s the B.C. backcountry that has held his interest over the last two-years. With a new pro model on DC snowboards, expect big things from the Fin.
Along with being an amazing rider, Backstrom has one of the most unique personalities on the team and is truly a character. His never-ending energy and outlook for being up for just about anything makes him a great addition to the team. Whether you’re in the B.C. backcountry with him or walking down to the local pub for a cold one you know it’s going to be a good time.
