Global Communications Manager

Nixon is seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to lead global communications for the brand. Qualified candidates will have an understanding of the action sports and fashion communities as well as excellent writing skills, in depth knowledge of the media landscape, and a collaborative work ethic. The Global Communications Manager will plan, implement, and communicate seasonal PR direction and will work in conjunction with Nixon’s subsidiary offices and distributors to ensure a consistent brand message.

The Global Communications Manager will have detailed and strategic planning skills and will primarily be focused on product PR and will work closely with Nixon’s marketing calendar to ensure successful key story/product launches.

Previous press, copywriting, and product launch experience is required. Agency management experience is a plus. Those without previous press experiences will not be considered.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Oversee seasonal product launches, special events and SMU products that will result in editorial exposure.
  • Build seasonal product focus calendars and execute against those timelines.
  • Manage the PR department calendar to ensure that all projects are completed on time for the most effective editorial results.
  • Seasonally present the Nixon line to editors in key markets and at tradeshows.
  • Responsible for Nixon product and brand awareness through editorial product placement.
  • Record and archive all Nixon editorial coverage.
  • Develop and maintain regional and national media relationships
  • Pro-active media relations to promote new launches and existing products in accordance with public relations strategies.
  • Create PR activity calendars key products, marketing messages
  • Lead creative development of PR initiatives including press materials and/or outreach for seasonal and special occasion opportunities.
  • Manage and maintain the media contact database.
  • Maintain clip library and postings to internal sites for internal viewing.

  • Coordinate with digital marketing for on-line initiatives.
  • Coordinate with inside creative teams and outside vendors for production of PR collateral.

  • Deliver quarterly/yearly PR reports to marketing on each brand launch or PR initiative.

Specific Responsibilities:

Digital Content Marketing Manager

This role is designed to help drive our transition towards a content marketing approach. Moving beyond traditional marketing/advertising and towards attracting and retaining customers by consistently creating and curating relevant and valuable content meant to inform, entertain and provide utility.


The Content Marketing Manager will execute on strategies and tactics outlined by the annual marketing plan and the Digital Marketing Manager, with a strong focus on developing content for the, social channels, industry leadership opportunities, retailers, events, advertising campaigns, and direct marketing initiatives (e-mail, search, mobile).

The Content Marketing Manager's primary responsibility will be to help execute against the content marketing strategy, with a specific focus on content creation, distribution and promotion. He or she will work closely with the marketing team, subject matter experts, and influencers to find innovative ways to foster engagement around all Nixon content.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Scope, plan, develop, curate, and distribute relevant best-in-class content to help attract, acquire and engage audiences and build sales.
  • Educate and support planning teams in the development of content strategies, best practices, and idea generation and actively lead and/or participate in brainstorming sessions to generate ideas for new campaigns, content, messaging.
  • Successfully promote all Nixon's content to maximize awareness, engagement and traffic to and Nixon owned media.
  • Build and leverage relationships with industry influencers to aide in content promotion efforts
  • Develop and manage global community and content strategies across Nixon's social profiles (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and Pinterest), as well as other strategic public social networks
  • Coordinate the planning of social media campaigns, ensuring customer acquisition and supporting key marketing initiatives
  • Write posts and entries for social channels based on weekly or monthly editorial themes
  • Generate and help implement new ideas at the intersection of social media and Ecommerce.
  • Act as the advocate of social media integration within the brand, influencing overall site and business strategies
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on the impact of all content distribution efforts using website analytics and third-party tools, highlighting successes/areas in need of revision.
  • Manage a content review process that ensures all content is on-brand, error-free, consistent in style, and optimized for both search and user experience across all digital channels.
  • Manage the content calendar ensuring content is added to website and Nixon social properties according to the content calendar.
  • Communicate content updates to affected team and the wider organization to ensure awareness across corporate.


Visual Merchant

The Visual Merchant will be responsible for creating compelling in store merchandise presentations and communications for Nixon retail that directly support sales strategies that drive sell thru. This person will be an integral part of the Nixon retail team, helping to create an insane retail presence for the brand through outstanding visual merchandising, the design and creation of fixture packages and branding and marketing assets to create and define the Nixon retail experience globally.

The Visual Merchant will be looked to for leadership and management of the visual communication process through cross functional partners such as Marketing, Logistics, Creative Services, and Product, Sales and Merchandising teams. In addition, this person will also work with our international offices to develop regional custom communications.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Ability to have a global point of view on fixture and customization implementation
  • Management of design and fixture development for project that ensure brand standards are met
  • Ability to propose resolutions to project specific issues that arise through an ability to think innovatively
  • Demonstrative ability to generate architectural design concepts, space planning, fixture and special element design while coordinating with a broad vendor of vendors and business partners
  • Monitor, adjust and deliver upon a timeline and project timeline while ensuring that scope changes are included in cost projections in a timely manner

Global Marketing Director

Reports to the EVP Marketing, the Global Marketing Director will be responsible for management, development and implementation of the marketing strategy for Nixon. Marketing at Nixon consists of direct, in-store, digital, team, event, online, retail, advertising and pr implementation. A successful Global Marketing Director will not only be in tune with the Brand values and messages, but also able to provide organization and process to a motivated team of professionals of different disciplines across a wide variety of forms as well as execute him or herself.

The Global Marketing Director will be expected to contribute to the constant generation and review of Nixon’s overall growth strategy.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans that meet and exceed company expectation.
  • Create, manage, coordinate and execute all marketing strategies.
  • Lead marketing planning discussions with key partners.
  • Consistently refine tactics to improve ROI and marketing effectiveness through solid strategic and tactical management.

Key Account/ Sr. Sales Manager

Reporting to the VP of North American Sales, you will be responsible for planning some of the companies largest customers. The ideal candidate possess strong relationships with current account buyers, is a detailed planner and able to communicate effectively across all departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve sales goals by correctly managing strategic accounts.
  • Lead the development of account plans with the customer thru close collaboration.
  • Work closely with a product and marketing on a seasonal business plan based on financial planning, sell-thru, account specific objectives (financial and category), and an understanding of the retailer’s consumer base.
  • Work in close alignment with the sales counterparts in order to achieve the best possible result for both the account and Nixon.
  • Prepare seasonal door level retail sales plans for account prior to seasonal account business meetings.
  • Manage the marketplace by ensuring best presentation of stories and product to our best customers at the appropriate time. Work closely with category teams, planning and account team on directed door level assortment plans that contribute to a differentiated consumer experience.
  • Ensure appropriate seasonal product flow by category and by month, in order to optimize account opportunities. Work with account buyer and planner to ensure market and customer capacities are met. Manage, with planner, the customer inventory position based on seasonal targets and sell-thru objectives.

Product Manager – RSVP & Custom Station Watches

Reports to the Category Manager of Technical Products, the full-time Product Manager – RSVP and Custom Station Watches will oversee the Merchandising, Design, Development, and Product Marketing communication of these products. The overall goal is to bring insane products to market on time at a profit.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Category Manager to identify new product opportunities to grow our business within the Swiss Made Limited Edition watches and our NIXON flagship store Custom Watch building experience.
  • Build a strategic plan to accomplish the goals of the company within these specific product segments.
  • Partner with Director of Global Retail on successfully growing and maintaining custom watch experience at Nixon Retail.
  • Work in concert with Sales, Marketing and Operations Departments to create a cohesive flow of communication and information sharing.
  • Analyze and report on market performance of your products.
  • Conduct market research and competitive market analysis to validate introduction of new product.
  • Establish a strong working knowledge of the price to value ratio of your product.
  • Hit company margin targets with new products.

Design Manager, AP/AC

Reporting to the Category Manager, Apparel and Accessories, you will be responsible for applying strong design skills, innovative thinking and technical experience in design & development toward creating new product collections. Individual will lead/manage the design team with the goal of continuously advancing product performance while maintaining brand continuity, meeting customer expectations & maintaining cost requirements. This integral role includes researching product categories, setting design direction, managing product design from concept to final sample, achieving cost objectives, & providing technical & creative support for design team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new, emerging and existing concepts in a given classification. Research markets, trends and fabrics in order to bring fresh ideas and innovation.
  • Read publications, attend showings, and maintain pulse of current market trends and forecasts. Strong knowledge of retail & brand positioning
  • The Designer will work with the Category Manager to fill and expand upon the ideas and requirements of the line plan and creatively set the tone and direction of the line.
  • Conceptualize product collections based on the following criteria: aesthetics, design-function relationship, fashion trends, materials, retail price/cost restrictions, methods of production, and sales strategies.
  • Adherence to various deadlines across multiple seasons in differing stages of design/development.
  • Communicates product concepts & ideas through product renderings/illustrations. Renderings to be used as key sales aids and in-house line preparation. (All renderings to be produced in Adobe Illustrator – Photoshop knowledge a plus).

The Microsoft Dynamics NAV CSIDE/CAL programmer/Business Analyst will have strong communication and creative problem solving skills.
