Ecommerce Merchandising Manager

This position will be involved in all aspects of commerce on nixon.com. A successful candidate must be familiar with a variety of online merchandising and ecommerce concepts, tools, best practices, and procedures so that s/he can bring experience and judgment to the online customer experience and to meeting performance goals.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for ensuring that merchandise is presented in a way that optimizes the customer shopping experience and maximizes business results on our website.
  • Develop and execute strategies and tactics to reach web revenue goals.
  • Manage the merchandising calendar as it relates to navigation, site placement, personalization and up/cross sell.
  • Develop, analyze and distribute weekly and monthly sales data and web analytics reports along with performance metrics to inform business decisions, improve merchandise presentation & identify optimization opportunities.
  • Partner successfully with marketing colleagues to maximize merchandising opportunities in all digital marketing channels.
  • Assist in demand forecasting by category to support inventory buy.
  • Determine thru testing site user experience improvements as well as optimal merchandising programs.
  • Work with cross-functional team and external partners (UI, Design, Development) to drive ongoing improvements to the website design and bring projects to life
  • Work with Nixon retail merchandising to ensure a consistent merchandise plan and experience is occurring across all channels
  • Manage season launch and retail calendar
  • Manage all aspects of the digital and physical gift and industry cards
  • Work closely with our customer service team to ensure all points of before and after sales service is to the Nixon standard

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, merchandising or related field
  • 7-10 years of successful e-commerce merchandising management
  • Experience developing and deploying product merchandising in an online environment
  • Experience in the clothing and accessories or watch and jewelry verticals will be given special consideration
  • Experience with and strong understanding of all digital marketing channels
  • Passion for ecommerce best practices and trends
  • General understanding of CMS, database, servers, hosting, payment gateway and processor, networks and traffic source
  • Customer-centric mind-set, constantly seeking ways to improve the shopping, buying and post-purchase experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; self-starter
  • Strong quantitative skills and desire to make data-driven decisions; Experience with web analytics (Google Analytics, Omniture or similar).

Sales

Sales Analyst

Nixon is seeking a candidate with a successful track record for a newly created position of Sales Analyst. This person must a possess the ability to develop a blend of art and science within a dynamic fast growth mutli-faceted brand.

The Sales Analyst role will put you in the driver’s seat to:

  • Develop and drive the forecasting activities of the sales organization
  • Analyze, interpret and report on key trending activities in the market to provide analysis support to the management team
  • Develop KPIs and report on one-off projects
  • Work cross functionally with finance and operations teams on projects and initiatives including budgets, forecasts, sales program effectiveness, demand planning, supply chain initiatives, etc.

This important role will link the sales team with key financial and operations processes and provide the analytics and decision support for the sales management team.

Key responsibility areas include
  1. Forecasting
    1. Developing templates for use by all markets that will employ operational methodology based upon history and assumptions (e.g. increased proposed sell through at comp store) and will use inputs for sales based around new strategies that are not measured by current operational inputs.
    2. Deliver templates to all regions to build a multi-channel, product, gender revenue forecast.
    3. Collect and assimilate forecasts and exercise the inputs with the regions to ensure full understanding.
    4. Develop and deliver a summary of revenue forecasts by region with analysis on general assumptions, opportunities, risks, etc.
    5. Track actual versus forecast / budget performance on a weekly, monthly, seasonal, and yearly basis including value-added regional feedback and summary analysis on key variances.
  2. Trending
    1. Develop trending report based upon actuals collected highlighting variation of trend versus forecasted performance.
    2. Communicate findings throughout appropriate teams.
  3. Reporting
    1. Develop reporting template that supports the forecast methodology.
    2. Deliver reports and analysis to appropriate parties including different departments, external sales team or external Nixon offices.
  4. Cross Functional
    1. Work with the finance and operations teams for budget reviews and demand planning purposes using information and analysis developed from the markets.
Experience/credentials

Required:

  • 6+ years minimum experience in sales analysis / planning preferably within the wholesale and retail market of consumer goods.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate information to direct report, cross departments and other less connected to the business.
  • Proven experience to communicate with international markets and interpret information correctly
  • Degree in finance or business with significant relevant experience.
  • Strong financial systems skills, including general ledger systems, PowerPoint and Excel at a Super User level.
  • I.T. literacy essential - Windows Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Experience with and solid understanding of retail supply chain.
  • Working knowledge of budgeting and forecasting issues and techniques.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Proven track record gained within a retail environment.

Desirable:

  • Experience is developed within a high growth, multi-seasonal business.
  • Large retail account planning / analyst experience.

Product & Design

Designer - Technical Products

Reports to the Category Manager of Technical Products, the full time Designer — Technical Products will communicate through visual forms varying from hand renderings, computer illustration, and technical drawings. Must possess the ability to “story-tell” through design. Works with Product Managers to satisfy the requirements of the product specifications and design.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work with Product Managers on technical specification adjustments for prototypes.
  • Assist Product Managers with seasonal trend research.
  • Assist Product Managers with color spec revisions and tech pack revisions.
  • Responsible for presenting color ways and new material options and ideas to the Product Team.
  • Build tech factory tech packs.
Demonstrated Results — Technical Design and Production:
  • Relevant experience in the design and production of timing or similar technical products.
  • Understanding and passion for advanced product construction and production methods as well as materials and properties.
  • Highly adept at communicating with engineering teams, spec and prototype development.
  • Experienced with Asian-based contract manufacturers.
Education, Experience/Skills:
  • Bachelor of Sciences degree in Design is preferred with experience in designing technical products.
  • Proficient with Illustrator and Photoshop using Macintosh and PC platforms and ability to create concept sketches, 2D and 3D renderings.

Operations

First Level Support Tech

Reporting to the Systems Administrator, the First Level Support Tech will join the IT Department in assisting the Nixon staff with technical support of desktop computers, applications, and related technology. You will work closely with the IT Manager and Systems Administrator in managing the Help Desk Ticket Portal.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Hardware configuration and deployment of new desktop and laptop systems
  • Set up and deploy new cellular phones and desk phones
  • Provide phone, email, and hands-on technical support to users in PC/Mac environments
  • Perform initial hardware and software troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Monitor queue of help desk requests; handle first level tasks, and assign appropriate resource to higher level tasks
  • Ensure Help Desk Tickets are completed in a timely fashion and updated daily
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent/related work experience
  • Excellent decision making and problem solving skills; ability to effectively prioritize and complete tasks.
  • Good knowledge of PC and Mac hardware components
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV a plus, but not required
  • Some knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange a plus

Job Responsibilities:
  • Participates as a critical business partner to the CEO and the executive team to develop and guide management in all areas of human resources and to ensure our global teams—including our team depth and structure, our talent, and our development programs—are aligned with our business needs.

  • Experience supporting the fashion design, distributors or retail industry is a plus.

  • 10% travel requirement (may increase with Company growth).
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft suite and HR systems, including benefits administration and applicant tracking systems; knowledge of payrolls system(s), especially ADP is a plus.
