Global Marketing Director

Reports to the EVP Marketing, the Global Marketing Director will be responsible for management, development and implementation of the marketing strategy for Nixon. Marketing at Nixon consists of direct, in-store, digital, team, event, online, retail, advertising and pr implementation. A successful Global Marketing Director will not only be in tune with the Brand values and messages, but also able to provide organization and process to a motivated team of professionals of different disciplines across a wide variety of forms as well as execute him or herself.

The Global Marketing Director will be expected to contribute to the constant generation and review of Nixon’s overall growth strategy.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans that meet and exceed company expectation.
  • Create, manage, coordinate and execute all marketing strategies.
  • Lead marketing planning discussions with key partners.
  • Consistently refine tactics to improve ROI and marketing effectiveness through solid strategic and tactical management.
  • Create, maintain, and evolve a departmental calendar that matches the market’s needs, across channels, with the activities and output of the department.
  • Collaborate with the Design, Product and Sales Directors to maintain consistent timelines with the brand goals.
  • Develop benchmark criteria to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing programs.
  • Achieve and elevate targeted results and ensure timely and effective execution of marketing tactics and programs nationally.
  • Develop yearly overhead budgets and manage staff, external resources, and other expenditures to comply with approved budgets.
  • Provide clear department direction, giving timely and helpful coaching to improve creative output in a team effort while producing work efficiently and on schedule.
  • 15+ years of related experience, minimum 5 years in a senior level marketing position.
  • Thought leader and collaborator with a demonstrated ability to influence sr. management and peers.
  • 5-7 years of a proven ability to recruit, retain and develop a marketing team.
  • University degree, MBA preferred.
  • Strong analytical, planning, forecasting, and budgeting financial skills.

Sales Coordinator

Reporting to the North American Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing data related to a multi channel business plan. You will be a key member of a strong team focused on tracking sales and facilitating programs to achieve growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and track channel or category sales against plan and forecast by account
  • Compile and analyze sales data in order to establish sales forecast and use it to create suggested buys
  • Initiates and complies various sales reports, creates and maintains spreadsheets, logs and tracks various sales functions including open orders, new accounts, sales plans, refused orders and credit holds
  • Proactively addresses issues and opportunities within account base, acts as liaison and support for sales reps, sales managers and internal departments
  • Acts as liaison between sales team and key operational departments including credit, customer service and supply chain
  • Coordinates channel or category meetings and events including sales collateral, samples and logistics
  • Process various requests for sales reps and sales management

Key Account/ Sr. Sales Manager

Reporting to the VP of North American Sales, you will be responsible for planning some of the companies largest customers. The ideal candidate possess strong relationships with current account buyers, is a detailed planner and able to communicate effectively across all departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve sales goals by correctly managing strategic accounts.
  • Lead the development of account plans with the customer thru close collaboration.
  • Work closely with a product and marketing on a seasonal business plan based on financial planning, sell-thru, account specific objectives (financial and category), and an understanding of the retailer’s consumer base.
  • Work in close alignment with the sales counterparts in order to achieve the best possible result for both the account and Nixon.
  • Prepare seasonal door level retail sales plans for account prior to seasonal account business meetings.
  • Manage the marketplace by ensuring best presentation of stories and product to our best customers at the appropriate time. Work closely with category teams, planning and account team on directed door level assortment plans that contribute to a differentiated consumer experience.
  • Ensure appropriate seasonal product flow by category and by month, in order to optimize account opportunities. Work with account buyer and planner to ensure market and customer capacities are met. Manage, with planner, the customer inventory position based on seasonal targets and sell-thru objectives.
  • Establish and maintain timely, consistent and positive external and internal relationships. Provide exceptional customer service by developing and maintaining strong relationships with key customer personnel at all levels of the customer’s business.

Eastern Sales Manager

Reporting to the VP of North American Sales, you will be responsible for leading a team of in house and external reps to maximize business. The ideal candidate has proven sales management, experience in multi channel business and a positive team leader.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and track channel or category sales against plan and forecast by account
  • Motivate sales team on the Nixon brand and product. (Accounts & Outside reps)
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and profitability across product lines.
  • Prospect and qualify new customers.
  • Manage and open new accounts, track sell through and maximize sales, turns and margin.
  • Develop seasonal Go-to-Market plans that drive impact at the point of sale increasing revenue and profitability.

Product & Design

Design Manager, AP/AC

Reporting to the Category Manager, Apparel and Accessories, you will be responsible for applying strong design skills, innovative thinking and technical experience in design & development toward creating new product collections. Individual will lead/manage the design team with the goal of continuously advancing product performance while maintaining brand continuity, meeting customer expectations & maintaining cost requirements. This integral role includes researching product categories, setting design direction, managing product design from concept to final sample, achieving cost objectives, & providing technical & creative support for design team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new, emerging and existing concepts in a given classification. Research markets, trends and fabrics in order to bring fresh ideas and innovation.
  • Read publications, attend showings, and maintain pulse of current market trends and forecasts. Strong knowledge of retail & brand positioning
  • The Designer will work with the Category Manager to fill and expand upon the ideas and requirements of the line plan and creatively set the tone and direction of the line.
  • Conceptualize product collections based on the following criteria: aesthetics, design-function relationship, fashion trends, materials, retail price/cost restrictions, methods of production, and sales strategies.
  • Adherence to various deadlines across multiple seasons in differing stages of design/development.
  • Communicates product concepts & ideas through product renderings/illustrations. Renderings to be used as key sales aids and in-house line preparation. (All renderings to be produced in Adobe Illustrator – Photoshop knowledge a plus).
  • Partner with development and create comprehensive and accurate design packages.
  • Ensures the final appearance and function of all products stay true to brands design principles.
  • Ensures that all products are designed for production efficiency.
  • Designer will participate in fittings and proto reviews and comment on fabric, trim and color submits.
  • Individual will need to clearly present their concepts and designs to their manager and/or to the team as a whole. They must possess the ability to take and to give constructive criticism in order to improve designs.

Designer - Technical Products

Reports to the Category Manager of Technical Products, the full time Designer — Technical Products will communicate through visual forms varying from hand renderings, computer illustration, and technical drawings. Must possess the ability to “story-tell” through design. Works with Product Managers to satisfy the requirements of the product specifications and design.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work with Product Managers on technical specification adjustments for prototypes.
  • Assist Product Managers with seasonal trend research.
  • Assist Product Managers with color spec revisions and tech pack revisions.
  • Responsible for presenting color ways and new material options and ideas to the Product Team.
  • Build tech factory tech packs.
Demonstrated Results — Technical Design and Production:
  • Relevant experience in the design and production of timing or similar technical products.
  • Understanding and passion for advanced product construction and production methods as well as materials and properties.
  • Highly adept at communicating with engineering teams, spec and prototype development.
  • Experienced with Asian-based contract manufacturers.
Education, Experience/Skills:
  • Bachelor of Sciences degree in Design is preferred with experience in designing technical products.
  • Proficient with Illustrator and Photoshop using Macintosh and PC platforms and ability to create concept sketches, 2D and 3D renderings.

Nixon is currently looking for a Customer Service Representative to join the Nixon Customer Service team. We operate in a fast paced, fun, and high-growth environment. The right candidate will be customer service oriented, energetic, organized, and excited to be part of our team.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage a high volume of customer inquiries and related tasks.
  • Demonstrate great phone and chat etiquette with a high level of enthusiasm when interacting with customers.

Distribution Center Generalist

Distribution Center Team Members (Generalists) are responsible for performing all aspects of Nixon’s warehousing operations, in a safe and efficient manner. Team members will work under the direct supervision of the Shipping and Receiving Supervisors, as well as the Distribution Center Manager. This position is full-time.

General warehousing duties include:
  • Order fulfillment (Order Picking, Packing and Manifest)
  • Receiving duties
  • International shipping
  • Inventory control functions and physical inventory counts
  • Quality verification of inbound product
  • Project work as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors, Distribution Center Manager and Director of Operations
Relevant Experience and Education:
  • Prior work experience in a distribution warehouse preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to speak English required.
Working Conditions:
  • Normal distribution warehouse working conditions apply.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs required.
  • Employees will be made aware of any hazards inherent to the warehousing nature of the position.
