Herbie Fletcher is surf royalty. He's pioneered so many aspects of surfing today that it’s hard to list them all or wrap up who he is in a concise paragraph. From pioneering surf spots like Pipeline, to being the father of pro surfers Christian and Nathan Fletcher, to being the earliest person documented skateboarding pools in the late 60s, and the first to experiment with tow surfing, Herbie has done it all. He’s helped shape an entire counterculture. As if his accolades aren’t sufficient enough, today he’s garnering significant recognition from his painting and filmmaking as he adds a new chapter to his impressive life portfolio.
