P-Rod walks away with the win at Street League Stop #3

This past weekend, in the hot desert town of Glendale, Arizona, Nixon's own Paul Rodriguez won top honors at Street League (SLS). This stop along SLS's 2012 route marks the final event before the championships, which are slated to take place in Newark, New Jersey later this summer.

This first place achievement for P-Rod has earned him a cool $150k in prize money and a spot in the SLS final showdown next month. P-Rod went trick for trick, landing a a switch 360 flip, a switch backside tailslide, and a switch crooked grind in the Big Section against Chris Cole, Ryan Sheckler, and Shane O'Neill, and was able to nudge out Cole by 2.6 points for the victory. P-Rod's win is a first for him at SLS and it also halted Nyjah Huston's two-time winning streak for the year.

Congrats, P-Rod.
