Watch "Hotel Nowhere: Kamchatka" short film by Desillusion Magazine
Each year, Nixon organizes one of the wildest and most remote surf contests on the planet, The Nixon Surf Challenge. Ten European surfers are invited to an unknown destination to battle against their own fears and human limits without the pressures of the public or press. It's an adventure of the unforeseen where the only enemy is yourself and your best ally is nature, in its rawest, purest form.
In May, the wild terrain of Kamchatka, Russia, was chosen to host the annual event. This short film, narrated by Kepa Acero and based on the "Survival Russia" story published in Desillusion Magazine 46, offers viewers a personal look into this years challenge.
