BEN KILNER WINS THE KING OF GREENS 2014
The world of golf and action sports has a new KING of GREENS! Scottish snowboarder Ben Kilner keeps his nerve in an exciting play-off against surfer Alain Riou (FRA) and wins the international golf tournament for action sports athletes at Windlesham Golf Club, UK! This means Ben Kilner will be playing with the golf pros of the PGA European Tour at tomorrow's Pro-Am contest in the run-up to the BMW PGA Championship, in Wentworth. He will be wearing the one-of-a-kind NIXON Trophy Watch he just won!
Snowboarder and local hero Ben Kilner (GBR) and big wave surfer Alain Riou (FRA) finished the tournament with equal scores of 23 Stableford gross points, resulting in a nail-bitting play-off. Under the watchful eye of golf star Rafa Cabrera-Bello (ESP), Ben Kilner finished one shot under Alain Riou, taking the win at the Oakley KING OF GREENS 2014. Coming in third was Norwegian freeskier PK Hunder with a score of 22 gross points.
