Production Designer

POSITION SUMMARY

Nixon’s internal agency is seeking a highly organized and creative Production Designer. In this role, we help support our creative team across an array of traditional and digital projects ranging from print, retail, and outdoor marketing to brand collateral, web content, and email campaigns.

KEY FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute on assigned creative projects for audience facing assets including marketing materials, retail communications design, digital content and print collateral.
  • Own design assignments end to end, working with Studio Manager, Creative Director / Art Director to ensure work is on brand and within scope.
  • Image retouching and file management of ecommerce and campaign assets.
  • DAM asset management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 - 3 years of experience as a production designer in the creative field
  • Willingness to follow standard process and practice strong file organization.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to interpret and follow design guidelines, creative briefs, and feedback
  • Knowledge of digital channels and deliverables
  • Knowledge of printing process and how to create print ready files
  • Positive and collaborative attitude
  • Ability to recognize opportunities for more creative thinking within a project
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and self-manage personal deadlines
  • Working knowledge of corporate software including Figma, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
  • Working knowledge of AI tools i.e. FireFly and MidJourney
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (With an emphasis on Adobe Photoshop and InDesign CC)
  • Experience with web-based project management tools such as Asana, Mondays, Wrike, etc.

This position is in Carlsbad, CA, USA; hybrid schedule, and is a temporary role with Nixon. 

Position salary range: $60k to $68K.
