Today we have a special, special, special watch… The Nine Club Player!

The Nine Club x Nixon Player

The Nine Club is widely known as skateboarding’s premier podcast, which you can watch on YouTube and listen to on audio streaming platforms.

For years now they have kept the industry entertained with amazing long-form interviews, video reviews, as well as fun reminiscent stories and random banter. Back in February of this year, The Nine Club reviewed our collection we did with Santa Cruz skateboards which eventually led to a conversation about our iconic watch, The Player.

You may remember our 25th Anniversary Player we dropped earlier this year that Selema Masekela wore on his episode of The Nine Club. Many of the guys talked about rocking that watch back in the day and even debated where the diamond was located originally, the six or the twelve o’clock mark. Despite their confusion, the diamond has always been on the six o’clock mark.

Until now…

All this talk led to the guys bringing up the idea of a Nixon x The Nine Club Player, but this time, the diamond would be on the nine o’clock mark. Well, our team manager happened to be watching the live show that night and immediately sent the mock up they showed on screen (made by a loyal Nine Club listener, Charlie) to our product department. From there, we got to work and a few months later, The Nine Club Player has landed and yes, the diamond is on the nine.

This limited edition collab is everything you want in the OG Player while featuring a super black IP finish, a three-hand Japanese quartz movement, and a clean dial design to top it all off. Plus, the little orange hits make it pop without it being flashy. Oh, and did we mention the diamond is on the nine?

Don’t sleep on this one ol’ buddies! This Player won’t last long.
