Nixon's First Solar Charged Watch, The Volta
The Volta makes its mark as the first rechargeable, solar powered watch in Nixon’s 11-year history. Inspired by the Defender driving, outdoor adventurers the semi-transparent dial allowed sunlight through to the solar panel below which charged the watch's battery.
Powerslaves and desk jockeys need not worry either, any light source will suffice! Any office fluorescence or tanning beds would serve as proper sources to recharge your watch. Made available in either a custom molded polyurethane band with locking looper or a double stitched Italian leather band option, neither was to be overlooked.
