Recap the Rad: Looking Back at Nixon in 2022

Nixon got busy in 2022. From new products and collabs to new team members and charitable partnerships, here are the highlights from our past year.

New Nixon Watches in 2022

Here are the new Nixon watches that joined the family in 2022.

Sentry Solar Stainless Steel and Leather

Nixon Sentry Solar Stainless Steel in Gold

Sentry is one of our most popular models. And in 2022 we updated it with a solar-powered movement. The Sentry Solar is available in both leather and stainless steel, with a variety of color combinations for each material.

The Optimist is another new watch in 2022 that expanded our line of Nixon solar watches. The Optimist is a women’s watch with a design inspired by modern jewelry.

Thalia Leather

Thalia kicked the year off to a proper start by adding a subtle stunner to our women’s watch line.  Gaining quick notoriety, it even made an appearance in our overdriven rock-and-roll collection. More on that below.

Confidante

All Gold Nixon Confidante Watch

The most recent watch to hit our line is the Confidante. Its design pays homage to “secret watches,” a jewelry choice of the past that allowed for time to be checked with discretion (it was considered impolite to check time in social settings).

Time Teller OPP

The Sentry wasn’t the only classic Nixon watch that received a remake in 2022. The Time Teller OPP takes one of our most popular watches of all time and rebuilds it with “Other People’s Plastic.”

Nixon 2022 Collaborations

This year, we had two huge collaborations we’re still buzzed on.

The Rolling Stones Collab

We are hyped to have collaborated with such heavy pioneers in rock and roll as The Rolling Stones. Doing so led to some of our best designs to date.

SeaTrees Partnerships

SeaTrees

This year saw new partnerships with SeaTrees, an arm of the non-profit organization Sustainable Surf. In April, we partnered to plant mangrove trees in Indonesia. For Giving Tuesday this past November, we partnered with SeaTrees again, along with The Bay Foundation, to restore kelp off the California coast. Both mangrove forests and kelp forests play an important role in sustaining coastal ecosystems and sequestering carbon.
