None of the watches from Nixon are fully 100% waterproof. Instead of being fully waterproof, our watches come with a water rating that tells you how much water exposure each watch can withstand. This water rating is listed on the individual product pages of each watch. 10 ATM, one of the more common water ratings our watches have, means that the watch can withstand swimming, showering and other similar water exposure.
There are many different factors that contribute to how a watch will work for different occasions. The most important factor to consider is your personal style. What will you actually enjoy wearing on your wrist? Watch bands are another important part of the watch that determines how dressy or sporty the watch is. Leather and stainless steel bracelets are considered more dressy while nylon and rubber or silicone are more casual and sporty. Finally, the color.
